Recently Released Critical Drivers - Read Only.Recently Released Service Tips - Read Only.I hope this Topic will safe other people hours of searching a fix for the bug. The Lenovo Service Technician and me were speechless and we couldnt explain why booting a Linux Dist fixed the Windows issue with the internal speakers. This fixed the issues for both of our E580 Thinkpads. The internal speaker started to work now even with Windows. So after that we shut down the Debian OS and rebooted Windows. He called a colleague which said "try to boot another OS for example a Linux distribution".Īfter putting a USB Stick with a Debian System in and booting this Debian OS, we already heared system sounds. The Lenovo Service Technician was helpless.
I called the support and a Lenovo Service Technician came over and replaced the Speakers -> same Issue. If he connects a Headset to the AUX 3,5mm Port everything works - so I was sure its not a driver/software error. I bought two new Lenovo E580 Thinkpads which both had an issue with their Internal Speakers.Īfter preparing the Notebooks for my colleagues they reported, that there is NO sound coming out of the internal speakers.
